Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B.Lord, the trainer of Ding Donga regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ding Donga last raced on 28th of August, 2016 and is returning to racing after a spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Yorgi.
Mr. Banks went up with the lids at box rise. Yorgi and Bev's Girl collided soon after the start. Jimmy Marlow, Mr. Banks and Tat Minnie collided approaching the first turn. Ding Donga checked off Chum's Special approaching the first turn. Bev's Girl checked off Kraken Tilda on the first turn. Yorgi checked off Ding Donga on the first turn checking Bev's Girl and causing Bev's Girl to brush the running rail.
Bev's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to both hind feet. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
