A pre-race sample was taken from Billy Lid.
Clovalley Arnie, Looneygoon, Billy Lid and Midnight Kebab were slow to begin. Midnight Kebab and Premier Ching collided on the first turn checking Premier Ching. Premier Ching and Looneygoon collided approaching the home turn checking Looneygoon. Lodge's Express and Midnight Kebab collided on the home turn causing both greyhounds to fall and checking Premier Ching and Looneygoon. Midnight Kebab eased in the home straight.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. P. Smoor, the trainer of Front Page Lead regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
Front Page Lead was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right groin. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
