An Out of Competition sample was taken from Shirdon Connorae, engaged in this event, on Friday 5th February 2016.
A pre-race sample was taken from Tiggerlong Katut.
Le Luca and Shirdon Connorae collided soon after the start. Tiggerlong Katut and Tywin Bale collided soon after the start. Tiggerlong Katut checked off Tywin Bale approaching the first turn. Dyna Jonah, Quantum Bale and Shirdon Connorae collided on the first turn checking Tywin Bale which raced wide as a result. Dyna Jonah, Quantum Bale and Shirdon Connorae collided approaching the second turn checking Shirdon Connorae and Quantum Bale. Dyna Jonah and Tywin Bale collided on the second turn checking Dyna Jonah. Quantum Bale checked off Dyna Jonah in the back straight. Shirdon Connorae and Quantum Bale collided in the back straight. Quantum Bale checked off Shirdon Connorae on the third turn.
Shirdon Connorae was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Quantum Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
