Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Giddings, the trainer of Lioness Lulu regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lioness Lulu last raced on 17th August 2015.  Mr. Giddings stated that the greyhound was returning to race after suffering a chest muscle injury and being on season.

Mott Haven and Boo Shey collided soon after the start checking Lioness Lulu. Lioness Lulu and Gawker Bale colloded soon after the start.  Lioness Lulu, Isala Bale and Smokem Jimmy collided approaching the first turn.  Boo Shey and Mott Haven collided approaching the first turn.  Gawker Bale and Invictus Bale collided on the first turn.  Neville Bale, Boo Shey and Mott Haven collided on the first turn checking Boo Shey and Mott Haven.  Smokem Jimmy checked off Lioness Lulu on the first turn.  Lioness Lulu, Isala Bale and Smokem Jimmy collided approaching the second turn checking Smokem Jimmy.  Smokem Jimmy and Lioness Lulu collided approaching the home turn.

Flying Merkel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Shillington, the trainer of the greyhound Flying Merkel regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Flying Merkel with marring.  Mr. Shillington pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Flying Merkel was found guilty and the greyhound was suspended  for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jayco Bale and She's Vivacious were slow to begin.  Texas Tommy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Same Day.  Jaxon Rulz and Duff Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Same Day, Jayco Bale and Duff Bale collided on the first turn.  Jaxon Rulz and Folio Bale collided on the first turn.  Texas Tommy and Eren Bale collided on the first turn.  Same Day, Jayco Bale and Duff Bale collided on the second turn checking Jayco Bale and Duff Bale.  Texas Tommy checked off Eren Bale approaching the home turn.

During the course of this event two spectators ran onto the track near the region of the first turn.  As the greyhounds had already passed this section of the track, these actions had no impact on the outcome of the event.  Stewards subsequently declared All Clear for the event.
