Steward's Report
Mrs. J. Rinaldi, trainer of Destini Charger declared a new weight of 34.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Destini Charger last raced at 35.7kgs.
Dodging Danger was slow to begin. Miss Hodge and Ima Caravan collided soon after the start checking Miss Hodge. Good Luck Mark galloped on the heels of Burch Day on the first turn checking Burch Day and Dodging Danger and severely checking Good Luck Mark which fell as a result. Dodging Danger faltered approaching the second turn and tailed off as a result. Miss Hodge eased approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.
Good Luck Mark was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Fulton, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Hodge regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Miss Hodge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Miss Hodge with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Fulton pleaded guilty to the charge. Miss Hodge was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Dodging Danger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
