Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Bridges, the trainer of Kosmik King regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Kosmik King last raced on 28th April 2016. Mr. Bridges stated that the greyhound was returning to race after surgery to its right metatarsal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kosmik King trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 6, weight 32.8kgs. The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 22.44. The greyhound won by a margin of 0.75 lengths. Kosmik King was cleared.
Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Vigor, the trainer of Lupin Grange regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Lupin Grange participated in a coursing event on 26th June 2016. Ms. Vigor stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lupin Grange trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 27.9kgs. The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 22.44. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.5 lengths. Lupin Grange was cleared.
