Spruyt, the trainer of Unicorn regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Unicorn last raced on 19th November, 2016.  Ms. Spruyt stated that Unicorn is returning to racing from a spell.  Ms. Spruyt also declared a new weight of 31.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Unicorn last raced at 33.3kgs.

Buca Doll was quick to begin.  Proven Ryker was slow to begin.  Merl's Blaze checked off Galo's Best approaching the first turn.  Unicorn checked off Riverdale Paddy approaching the home turn.  Riverdale Paddy checked off Crazy Eye Jye approaching the home turn.  Proven Ryker raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Duty Sheet raced wide in the home straight.  Crazy Eye Jye and Riverdale Paddy collided in the home straight.

Mrs. J. Rinaldi, handler of Destini Cheetah declared a new weight of 32.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Destini Cheetah last raced at 31.1kgs.

Ultra Sharky was slow to begin.  Flick Some Cash and Sisco Bizzy collided soon after the start.  Flick Some Cash, Sisco Bizzy and Mr. No Worries collided approaching the first turn checking Sisco Bizzy.  Flick Some Cash checked off Mr. No Worries on the first turn.

Emgee Sprinter went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Riverdale Tarzan checked off Light Of Liam approaching the first turn. Riverdale Tarzan, Darb's The Man and Xena Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Darb's The Man, Xena Bale and Travel Fair.  Travel Fair and Darb's The Man collided approaching the home turn.  Light Of Liam checked off Paperback Writer approaching the home turn.

Mrs. J. Rinaldi, trainer of Destini Charger declared a new weight of 34.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Destini Charger last raced at 35.7kgs.

Dodging Danger was slow to begin.  Miss Hodge and Ima Caravan collided soon after the start checking Miss Hodge.  Good Luck Mark galloped on the heels of Burch Day on the first turn checking Burch Day and Dodging Danger and severely checking Good Luck Mark which fell as a result.  Dodging Danger faltered approaching the second turn and tailed off as a result.  Miss Hodge eased approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.

Good Luck Mark was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Fulton, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Hodge regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Miss Hodge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Miss Hodge with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Fulton pleaded guilty to the charge.  Miss Hodge was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dodging Danger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Cosmo Lass was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to its right hind and right front feet.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Margin Call was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. A. Marum, the handler of Margin Call regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.

Riverdale Cocky was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Cool Al, Castilleja and Just Crystal collided soon after the start checking Just Crystal.  Cool Al checked off Regis Rebel on the first turn checking Kynan's Return, Castilleja and Westmead Maggie.  Regis Rebel checked off Jolimia approaching the home turn checking Castilleja.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Hammerstein, the trainer of Tiger Tees regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tiger Tees last raced on 13th September, 2016.  Mr. Hammerstein stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being on season.  Mr. Hammerstein also declared a new weight of 26.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Tiger Tees last raced at 24.8kgs.

Mimicry went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Diamond Rebel crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Zonah's Dream and Too Far Out. Tiger Tees and Severus Grange collided on the first turn checking Diamond Rebel and severely checking Tiger Tees and Severus Grange; Severus Grange fell as a result.  Mimicry checked off Tiger Tees on the first turn.  Mimicry and Too Far Out collided on the home turn.

Severus Grange was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Bridges, the trainer of Kosmik King regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Kosmik King last raced on 28th April 2016.  Mr. Bridges stated that the greyhound was returning to race after surgery to its right metatarsal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kosmik King trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 6, weight 32.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.44.  The greyhound won by a margin of 0.75 lengths.  Kosmik King was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Vigor, the trainer of Lupin Grange regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Lupin Grange participated in a coursing event on 26th June 2016.  Ms. Vigor stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lupin Grange trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 27.9kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.44.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.5 lengths.  Lupin Grange was cleared.
