Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Dundee Calypso upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling. All other runners in this event were subject to out of competition testing preceding today's event, pursuant to GAR 79A

Trip To Eden was slow to begin.

It's A Fling, Obi Kenobi, Burn One Down and Azurite collided on the first turn, checking Obi Kenobi, Burn One Down and Azurite. Azurite and Burn One Down collided approaching the second turn, causing Obi Kenobi and Burn One Down to collide. Obi Kenobi clipped the heels of Burn One Down on the second turn. Burn One Down checked off Azurite in the back straight.

A sample was taken from Trip To Eden, the winner of the event. A sample was taken from Teddy Monelli, the second place-getter in the event. A sample was taken from Alera Bale, the third place-getter in the event. A sample was taken from Burn One Down which performed poorly; a veterinary examination following the event revealed the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right tensor fascia (triangle) muscles and a ten-day stand down period was imposed.
