A pre race sample was taken from Sly Shiraz.
Pie Problem and Kodason were slow to begin. Happy Hamish, Sly Shiraz and Top Shot Jack collided soon after the start checking all 3 greyhounds. Happy Hamish, Sly Shiraz and Top Shot Jack collided approaching the first turn checking Sly Shiraz. Kodason crossed in on the first turn checking Happy Hamish, Sly Shiraz and Top Shot Jack. Lakeview Isla and Woodleigh Blaze collided approaching the home turn severely checking Lakeview Isla and Kodason causing Kodason to fall. Happy Hamish checked off Sly Shiraz approaching the home turn. Top Shot Jack galloped on Lakeview Isla on the home turn severely checking Lakeview Isla and checking Top Shot Jack.
Lakeview Isla was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing on the right hind, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Kodason was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
