Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Johannsen, the trainer of Kept In Suspense regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Kept In Suspense last raced on 4th November, 2016. Mr. Johannsen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right monkey muscle injury.
Mr. C. Johannsen, the trainer of Kept In Suspense declared a new weight of 32.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39 (2). Kept In Suspense last raced at 31.3Kgs.
A pre race sample was taken from Gemanna Shelby.
Wadelock Mindy and Kept In Suspense were quick to begin. Iona Everest and Some Kinda Girl were slow to begin. Fine Edge and Gemanna Shelby collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Wadelock Mindy and Kept In Suspense collided approaching the first turn. Iona Everest contacted the running rail on the first turn and stumbled checking Some Kinda Girl and Fine Edge. Amaroo Gonzales crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kept In Suspense, Wadelock Mindy and Gemanna Shelby. Some Kinda Girl galloped on Wadelock Mindy on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Iona Everest checked off Some Kinda Girl on the first turn. Amaroo Gonzales and Kokoda Dreamin' collided approaching the home turn checking Kokoda Dreamin'. Fine Edge checked off Gemanna Shelby approaching the home turn. Wadelock Mindy raced wide on the home turn. Fine Edge and Gemanna Shelby collided entering the home straight checking Fine Edge.
Iona Everest was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
