Hard Luck Story was quick to begin. Chopper Doris, Scarlet Tru Blu and My Mate Horse were slow to begin. Casino and Ballistic Beauty collided approaching the first turn severely checking Casino. Casino and Chopper Doris collided on the first turn checking Chopper Doris. Ballistic Beauty and Hard Luck Story collided on the first turn checking Hard Luck Story which collided with My Mate Horse; My Mate Horse was checked and Ballistic Beauty was severely checked and stumbled, checking Scarlet Tru Blu as a result.
Ballistic Beauty was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
