Steward's Report
Trainer, Mr. M. Lowe was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound Mercy Me pursuant to GAR 33.
A pre-race sample was taken from Major Moe.
My Girl Belena, Tim Riggins and Black Legend were slow to begin. Texas Rising and Mercy Me collided approaching the first turn. Major Moe, Texas Rising, Mercy Me and Cullquin Nikki collided on the first turn checking Major Moe, Tim Riggins and Black Legend; Black Legend became unbalanced as a result. Black Legend and Cullquin Nikki collided several times in the home straight.
Black Legend was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K. Lloyd, the representative of the greyhound Black Legend regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
