Steward's Report
Senorita Pepe was a late on scratching Sunday (1.1.17 ) at 5.46pm due to llness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Magic Dance was quick to begin. Rusty One, Full Of Charm and Alouette Josie were slow to begin. Cool Al went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Rusty One and Full Of Charm collided on the first turn checking Rusty One. Rusty One, Full Of Charm and Alouette Josie collided on the first turn checking Full Of Charm, Alouette Josie and Rusty One. Full Of Charm brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Who Told Ronnie eased on the home turn and collided with Magic Dance. Who Told Ronnie and Magic Dance then collided several times in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Lloyd, the representative of the greyhound Who Told Ronnie regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Who Told Ronnie was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injujry to its left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Who Told Ronnie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Lloyd pleaded guilty to the charge. Who Told Ronnie was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
