Vel Belena and Regal Diamonds were slow to begin.
Arvo's Josie checked off Moonlite Spice approaching the first turn. Moonlite Spice checked off Allez Bijoux approaching the first turn. Murradoc Whiz, Allez Bijoux, Vel Belena and Regal Diamonds on the first turn checking Allez Bijoux and Regal Diamonds and severely checking Vel Belena. Moonlite Spice checked off Regal Diamonds in the home straight. Arvo's Josie faltered approaching the winning post.
Arvo's Josie was vetted following the event and revetted following race 10. It was reported that the greyhound sustained muscle injuries to both thighs. A 21 stand down period was imposed.
