This event was rescheduled to commence at 3.30pm.
Boofa Jack and Turbo Injected were slow to begin. Dr. Balboa and Virtue collided soon after the start. Jukebox Hero and Virtue collided approaching the 300m mark. Boofa Jack and Turbo Injected collided at the 300m mark, checking Boofa Jack. Jukebox Hero and Carlanna Lois collided at the 150m mark.
Boofa Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Starter, Liz Schulze, regarding the start of this event and reminded her that all collars and leads are to be removed prior to calling greyhounds to the boxes. Stewards referred this matter to Club Management for further action.
