Steward's Report
Indigo Bruna was a late scratching at 11.14am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness (elevated temperature and mild dehydration). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. P Kennedy, trainer of Loaded Musket declared a new weight of 34.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Loaded Musket last raced at 33.1kgs.
Loaded Musket was slow to begin and collided with Bluehawk Burst soon after the start. Nev Time and Ima Terror collided soon after the start. Bluehawk Burst checked off Loaded Musket soon after the start. Loaded Musket, Bullbar Rheen and Black Zuma collided approaching the 300m mark. Black Zuma checked off Loaded Musket at the 300m mark. Nev Time and Shakey Benz collided at the 150m mark. Bluehawk Burst and Black Zuma collided at the 100m mark, checking Black Zuma.
Black Zuma was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest, right shoulder, left wrist and grazes to the right calf, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
