A pre-race sample was taken from Amaro Bale.
Ivy Bale was quick to begin. Trail Blazing and Quasi Bale were slow to begin. Sacramento Sal checked off Ima Misha Doll soon after the start. Gary Doogan and Amaro Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Come At Me. Ima Misha Doll, Sacramento Sal and Amaro Bale collided on the first turn severely checking Ima Misha Doll, Amaro Bale and Trail Blazing; Ima Misha Doll and Amaro Bale raced wide as a result. Gary Doogan and Quasi Bale collided entering the back straight severely checking Gary Doogan.
Ima Misha Doll was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds and abrasions to its left hind and left front leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Amaro Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial abrasions to its inner left hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
