Sweet Intention and Dr. Leonardo collided entering the front straight causing Dr. Leonardo to collide with Transkei Prince.  Seaside Daisy checked off Sacred Diamond in the front straight.  Sacred Diamond and Sweet Intention collided several times from the third turn to the fourth turn checking Sacred Diamond, Sweet Intention, Seaside Daisy and Dr. Leonardo.  Sacred Diamond, Sweet Intention, Dr. Leonardo and Transkei Prince collided entering the back straight.  Sacred Diamond checked off Dr. Leonardo on the fifth turn.  Seaside Daisy checked off Mum's Gem on the fifth turn.  Seaside Daisy lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.

Ima Misha Doll was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds and abrasions to its left hind and left front leg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Amaro Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial abrasions to its inner left hind foot.  No stand down period was imposed.

Call Me Tickets was slow to begin.  Bruree Jewel and Magic Coups collided approaching the first turn.  Texas Tommy checked off Coalville Tiger approaching the first turn.  Texas Tommy and Cosmic Jewel collided on the first turn.  Bruree Jewel checked off Magic Coups approaching the second turn.  Texas Tommy checked off Call Me Tickets on the third turn.  Lion Rebel veered out and marred the running  of Coalville Tiger on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Magic Coups and Shake 'Em Off collided entering the home straight.  Magic Coups veered out and marred the running of Shake 'Em Off in the home straight.  Magic Coups and Shake 'Em Off collided approaching the winning post.

Lion Rebel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained dislocation of left front toes and soreness to its right triangle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Karabitsakos, the trainer of the greyhound Lion Rebel regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Lion Rebel with marring.  Mr. Karabitsakos pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Lion Rebel was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Magic Coups was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Geyer, the trainer of the greyhound Magic Coups regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Magic Coups with marring.  Mr. Geyer pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Magic Coups was found guilty and the greyhound was suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
