Star's Big Boy, Spazzy Blue and Dashing Diamond collided soon after the start. Star's Big Boy and Spazzy Blue collided at the 200 metre mark checking Spazzy Blue. Star's Big Boy and Logic Lad collided at the 150 metre mark checking Star's Big Boy.
Star's Big Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
