Cathy's Tiger and Westcoast Boy were slow to begin. Bobby Bung Leg and Kev's Fantasy collided soon after the start. Storm Of All and Sixty Three collided at the 250 metre mark. Cowboy Brett and Why Not Becky collided at the 250 metre mark. Storm Of All, Sixty Three and Kev's Fantasy collided approaching the 200 metre mark. Why Not Becky crossed to the rail approaching the 200 metre mark checking Bobby Bung Leg and Westcoast Boy. Why Not Becky checked off Storm Of All at the 100 metre mark.
Bobby Bung Leg was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions and bruising to its left front foot (toe). A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
