Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Lacy, the trainer of Klemo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Klemo last raced on 29th September, 2016. Mr. Klemo stated that the greyhound was new to his kennel.
A pre-race sample was taken from Merl's Blaze.
Merl's Blaze and Free Auto were slow to begin. Monoak checked off Lola Allen on the first turn checking Lithium. Monoak, Lithium, Free Auto and Carlanna Kervon collided approaching the home turn checking Lithium and severely checking Monoak and Carlanna Kervon.
Carlanna Kervon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left back muscle and spike wounds to its right and left hind legs. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results
Quick Return trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 31.3kgs. The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.32. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths. Quick Return was cleared.
Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Salter, the trainer of Tears Some regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Tears Some last raced on 22nd June 2016. Ms. Salter stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being on season. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Tears Some trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 2, weight 28.1kgs. The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.32. The greyhound won by a margin of 5.25 lengths. Tears Some was cleared.
