Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the trainer of Candy Rose regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Candy Rose last raced on 16th October, 2016 and is returning to racing after a left and right hock injury. Mr. McMahon also declared a new weight of 30.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Candy Rose last raced at 28.7kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Candy Rose.
Candy Rose was slow to begin. Candy Rose and Lara's Lament collided soon after the start. Lara's Lament and Bound After Gold collided at the 300 metre mark checking Bound After Gold. Lara's Lament and Blue Miller Girl collided at the 250 metre mark checking both greyhounds. Lara's Lament checked off Renegade at the 200 metre mark.
