A pre race sample was taken from Dreaming Dora
Lady Bullseye was slow to begin. Hello Mr Duck, Dreaming Dora and Macka's Victorem collided at the 300 metre mark. Dreaming Dora and Dr. Colt collided at the 250 metre mark. Macka's Victorem eased at the 250 metre mark. Sly Deception, Owned And Proud and Hello Mr Duck collided at the 250 metre mark and again at the 200 metre mark.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Trewin, the representative of the greyhound Macka's Victorem regarding the greyhound's racing manners at the 250 metre mark. Macka's Victorem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to its left hind foot. No stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Macka's Victorem with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Trewin pleaded not guilty to the charge. Macka's Victorem was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
