The start time for this event was rescheduled to 9.42p.m. at the request of Sky Channel due to the abandonment of Rockhampton greyhounds.
Mr. Moonlight, Dyna Yatul, Country Flash and Helen Baxter collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Yatul and Country Flash. Spring Emperor checked off Lani Bale approaching the first turn. Dyna Yatul checked off Helen Baxter approaching the home turn. Mr. Moonlight and Supreme Prince collided several times approaching the home turn. Dyna Yatul checked off Lani Bale approaching the home turn severely checking Dyna Yatul, severely checking Supreme Prince which fell as a result. Spring Emperor checked off Mr. Moonlight in the home straight. Manhattan Man checked off Helen Baxter in the home straight.
Dyna Yatul was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left hind nail, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Supreme Prince was vetted following the event. It was reported that the grehound sustained abrasions to the left hock and spike wounds to the right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
