Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Dailly, the kennel representative of Lektra Fire regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lektra Fire last raced on 24 August, 2016. Mr. Dailly stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.
Mr. J. Brooks trainer of Dane Daisy declared a new weight of 30.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dane Daisy last raced at 31.8kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Rido's Ace.
Blackpool Chuck was slow to begin. Doyen King, Seabrook Indi, Frisco Liz, Lektra Fire, Rido's Ace, Dane Daisy and Lilty Allen collided soon after the start, checking Lektra Fire, Rido's Ace and Dane Daisy. Frisco Liz, Rido's Ace and Dane Daisy collided approaching the first turn, checking Rido's Ace and Dane Daisy. Doyen King and Seabrook Indi collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Frisco Liz checked off Lektra Fire on the first turn. Seabrook Indi and Blackpool Chuck collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
