Little Ferret was slow to begin. Gan Cao Shen and Hey There Barbie collided soon after the start. First Thomas checked off Lektra Connie soon after the start. Hey There Barbie and First Thomas collided approaching the first turn checking First Thomas. Gan Cao Shen checked off Valletta Chief on the first turn. First Thomas and Little Ferret collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. First Thomas raced wide on the home turn.
Little Ferret was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
