Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Solar Rapid.
Southwood Lloyd was quick to begin. Rodarte Quayle, Valentine Belle and Solar Rapid collided soon after the start checking Valentine Belle. Solar Rapid and Chantilly Magic collided on the first turn checking Chantilly Magic, King Of Sunshine and Valentine Belle. Rodarte Quayle, Solar Rapid and Court Gift collided approaching the home turn checking Solar Rapid. Southwood Lloyd and Lektra Khan collided in the home straight checking Southwood Lloyd.
Solar Rapid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping in its right hip. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Gehan, the handler of the greyhound Solar Rapid. Acting in accordance withh GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
