Mr. Bibby stated that Crymelon Jato is returning to racing after being on season. Mr. Bibby also declared a new weight of 27.6 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Simon Humphries, the trainer of Fiery Chieftain regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Fiery Chieftain last raced on 14th March 2016. Simon Humphreys stated that the greyhound had not raced in this period due to stopper bone tendon injuries. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Fiery Chieftain trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 30.5kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.38, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 1.5L. Fiery Chieftain was cleared.
