This event was rescheduled to start at 1:10pm due to an issue with the tractor in the catching pen.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Tatti, the trainer of Black Selandra regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Black Selandra last raced on 18th August, 2016 and is returning to racing after being on season.
Pappa Gallo and Sultan Of Swing collided soon after the start. Seeya Saturday, Perry White and Ready Jet Go collided soon after the start. Seeya Saturday checked off Ready Jet Go at the 300 metre mark. Sultan Of Swing checked off Seeya Saturday at the 300 metre mark and crossed to the rail checking Black Selandra and Perry White as a result. Black Selandra and Sultan Of Swing collided at the 150 metre mark. Black Selandra checked off Perry White approaching the winning post.
