Gates, the trainer of Queen Elsa regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Queen Elsa last raced on 22nd August, 2016 and is returning to racing after a back muscle injury and a subsequent season.  Mrs. Gates also declared a new weight of 29.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Queen Elsa last raced at 28.1kgs.

Reminator was a late scratching at 10:55am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. D. Rhodes was fined the sum of $100.

Octo Burn was slow to begin.  Queen Elsa and Mallard collided at the 100 metre mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Drummond, the trainer of Rapid Mission regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Rapid Mission last raced on 23rd August, 2016 and is returning to racing after a triangle muscle injury.  Mr. Drummond also declared a new weight of 34.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Rapid Mission last raced at 33.0kgs. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Duncan, the trainer of All Inn Houston regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  All Inn Houston last raced on 5th September, 2016 and is returning to racing after a back muscle injury. 

Rapid Mission was slow to begin.  Nawree's Faith and Baby Tenby collided soon after the start.  All Inn Houston, Nawree's Faith and Baby Tenby collided at the 250 metre mark checking All Inn Houston and Baby Tenby and severely checking Nawree's Faith.  All Inn Houston and Candy Kid collided at the 200 metre mark.  Gold Rush Dozer crossed to the outside at the 150 metre mark checking Nanny's Poppy.  Gold Rush Dozer, All Inn Houston and Candy Kid collided at the 100 metre mark checking Candy Kid.  Candy Kid galloped on the heels of Gold Rush Dozer approaching the 50 metre mark checking both greyhounds.  Gold Rush Dozer checked off All Inn Houston approaching the winning post.

Gold Rush Dozer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right monkey muscle and right shoulder.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J. Reddoch, the trainer of Gold Rush Dozer regarding the greyhound's racing manners at the 150 metre mark.

Nawree's Faith was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right sartorius muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Martinovic, the trainer of Secret Message regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Secret Message last raced on 30th August, 2016 and is returning to racing after being on season.

Simply Stealth and Gozo Man were slow to begin.  Simply Stealth, Gozo Man and Secret Message collided soon after the start.  Cosmo Lass and Sweet Solera collided at the 300 metre mark.  Ginza Lion and Miss Flinders collided approaching the 250 metre mark.  Cosmo Lass checked off Miss Flinders at the 150 metre mark.  Sweet Solera and Ginza Lion collided at the 100 metre mark.  Ginza Lion and Miss Flinders collided at the 50 metre mark.

This event was rescheduled to start at 1:10pm due to an issue with the tractor in the catching pen.

Pappa Gallo and Sultan Of Swing collided soon after the start.  Seeya Saturday, Perry White and Ready Jet Go collided soon after the start.  Seeya Saturday checked off Ready Jet Go at the 300 metre mark.  Sultan Of Swing checked off Seeya Saturday at the 300 metre mark and crossed to the rail checking Black Selandra and Perry White as a result.  Black Selandra and Sultan Of Swing collided at the 150 metre mark.  Black Selandra checked off Perry White approaching the winning post.

Marlow's Express and Sugar Bang collided approaching the 300 metre mark.  Galaxy Star and Lethal Gun collided approaching the 250 metre mark.  Lethal Gun and John's Magic collided at the 250 metre mark.

Yorgi was slow to begin.  Big Roman crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Chopstick Walrus and Jack's Miss collided at the 200 metre mark and again at the 150 metre mark.  Mega Secret and Dee Tee Vane collided at the 150 metre mark checking Dee Tee Vane. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Russell, the trainer of Chopstick Walrus and issued him with a severe reprimand for his failure to arrive at the kennels on time to prepare his greyhound for racing, pursuant to GAR 46(2).

Uncatchable and Showgirl Miss collided soon after the start.  Logic Lad checked off Fear Fire at the 300 metre mark and collided with Uncatchable; Uncatchable, Showgirl Miss, Howie's Flyer and Logic Lad were checked as a result.  Fear Fire and Kerrie's One collided at the 50 metre mark.

Strummer Express and Asssemble Nitro were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Stylish Chief, Goorawin and All Inn Summer collided at the 250 metre mark.  Assemble Nitro and My Sirion collided at the 200 metre mark.  Roman Around and Goorawin collided at the 150 metre mark.  Strummer Express and Stylish Chief collided at the 150 metre mark.  Asssemble Nitro was held up for a run and checked off Stylish Chief at the 150 metre mark.  Strummer Express and Stylish Chief collided approaching the winning post.

Mr. D. Jensen, representative of Superior Bobby declared a new weight of 36.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Superior Bobby last raced at 35.3kgs.

Petite Senorita was slow to begin.  Oliver Cruise and All Inn April collided soon after the start.  Janray Anolajean and Petite Senorita collided approaching the 250 metre mark.  Oliver Cruise and All Inn April collided at the 200 metre mark and again at the 150 metre mark.  Arashundi and All Inn April collided at the 50 metre mark and several times approaching the winning post.

Distributor was slow to begin.  Redefined crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Ariki Whero.  Bless 'Em All crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Bless 'Em All, Mendacious Lad, Laniakea, Ariki Whero and Redefined.  Distributor checked off Mendacious Lad at th 200 metre mark.  Distributor, Redefined and Laniakea collided approaching the 150 metre mark checking Redefined and Laniakea.  Distributor checked off Johnny Boy approaching the winning post.

All Inn Boston was slow to begin.  Immortal Panther, My Baby Porscha and Gotta Rush collided soon after the start checking Immortal Panther.  Star's Big Boy and Irish Connection collided at the 250 metre mark.  Immortal Panther and All Inn Boston collided several times approaching the 150 metre mark.  Star's Big Boy and Gotta Rush collided at the 150 metre mark.
