Steward's Report
Dee Jay Dancer and Top Shot Jack were quick to begin. Akina Blitz and Pink Floyd were slow to begin. Dr. Condor and Dee Jay Dancer collided soon after the start. Top Shot Jack crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dr. Condor, Dee Jay Dancer and Meeniyan Hawk. Meeniyan Hawk, Dr. Condor, Dee Jay Dancer and Akina Blitz collided approaching the first turn checking Meeniyan Hawk, Dr. Condor and Dee Jay Dancer. Akina Blitz and Kruzin' Cripps collided on the first turn. Dr. Condor and Pink Floyd collided approaching the second turn checking Pink Floyd. Akina Blitz and Kruzin' Cripps collided approaching the second turn. Dr. Condor raced wide on the third turn checking Akina Blitz. Akina Blitz and Kruzin' Cripps collided on the home turn. Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Majoor the trainer of the greyhound Top Shot Jack regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Top Shot Jack was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8 it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Top Shot Jack with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Majoor pleaded not guilty to the charge, Top Shot Jack was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
