Ima Caravan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Ruby's Cheekstar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Kampman, the trainer of Tally Ho Lass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tally Ho Lass last raced on 8th August, 2016.  Mrs. Kampman stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Mrs. Kampman also declared a new weight of 35.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tally Ho Lass last raced at 34.4kg.

Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Stanley trainer of Col's Wallett regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Col's Wallett last raced on 23rd September, 2016. Ms. Stanley stated that the greyhound was returning after a right triangle injury.

Golden Fang was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained multiple metacarpal fractures, and was humanely euthanased.

Brae's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Squirto was slow to begin. Benlura, Airborn And Gone and Shotgun Doll collided soon after the start. Squirto, Benlura and Airborn And Gone collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Airborn And Gone and Benlura. Benlura severely checked off Airborn And Gone approaching the home turn. Shotgun Doll severely checked off Bella Express approaching the home turn.
