Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs. A. Kampman, the trainer of Tally Ho Lass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tally Ho Lass last raced on 8th August, 2016. Mrs. Kampman stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell. Mrs. Kampman also declared a new weight of 35.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tally Ho Lass last raced at 34.4kg.
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Ledgerwood Joe, engaged in this event on 4th January 2017, pursuant to GAR 79A.

Tally Ho Lass went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Howie Bale, Due Fratteli and Miss Emmy Rose collided approaching the first turn, checking Due Fratteli. Due Fratteli checked off Miss Emmy Rose on the first turn. Zorro Creek, Barb Allen and Independent Girl collided on the first turn, severely checking Barb Allen. Due Fratteli and Independent Girl collided in the home straight, checking Due Fratteli.
