Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Bright Sky.
Every Cloud was quick to begin. Bright Sky and Special Member were slow to begin. Midnight Boom was checked off Yeah Mint approaching the first turn. Every Cloud and Janray Kaza Wish collided on the first turn checking Special Member. Yeah Mint and Every Cloud collided on the first turn checking Every Cloud. Midnight Boom was checked off Every Cloud approaching the home turn and stumbled. Janray Kaza Wish eased entering the home straight.
Janray Kaza Wish was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Matthews the trainer of the greyhound Janray Kaza Wish regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Janray Kaza Wish with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Matthews pleaded guilty to the charge, Janray Kaza Wish was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 12 months all tracks and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c) before any future nomination will be accepted.
