Long Live Sid and Sweet Freyr collided on the home turn, checking Sweet Freyr, which raced wide as a result.

Beljay Lilac was slow to begin. Beljay Galaxy checked off Vista Princess soon after the start. Beljay Galaxy galloped on the heels of Maggie's Alone approaching the first turn, severely checking Beljay Galaxy. Maggie's Alone and Vista Princess collided approaching the first turn. Maggie's Alone and Caro's Arrow collided on the first turn, severely checking Beljay Galaxy and Caro's Arrow, both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Maggie's Alone and Vista Princess collided approaching the second turn. Maggie's Alone checked off Santano in the back straight.

Vista Princess was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left calf and a spike wound to the right wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Fear The Boss and Miss Cintiarna were quick to begin. Tommy's Tune and Lisburn Gem were slow to begin. Addictive Riley and Dewana Result collided on the first turn. Adam Handler and Addictive Riley collided on the first turn, checking Addictive Riley and Dewana Result. Miss Cintiarna crossed to the inside on the first turn, causing Fear The Boss to gallop on the heels of Miss Cintiarna, checking Fear The Boss and Tommy's Tune, and causing Dewana Result to race wide. Fear The Boss and Miss Cintiarna collided on the home turn. Fear The Boss and Miss Cintiarna collided approaching the winning post, checking both greyhounds. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Ryan, the trainer of Tactical Miss regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tactical Miss last raced on the 7th September 2016. Mr. Ryan stated that the greyhound was recoverng from a right back muscle injury.

Izumi and Le Sands were quick to begin. Blue Not Black was slow to begin. Snow Mistake and Mighty Sprite collided soon after the start, checking Snow Mistake. Le Sands and Tactical Miss collided on the first turn, checking Tactical Miss and Blue Not Black. Blue Not Black checked off Mighty Sprite approaching the home turn and raced wide as a result. Shanlyn Percy and Izumi collided approaching the winning post.

Paddles Anderson was slow to begin. Sonic Pirate, Kingston Ebony and Top Weight collided soon after the start, severely checking Kingston Ebony. Sonic Pirate checked off Top Weight approaching the first turn. Precious Quality checked off Yesteryear on the first turn and stumbled as a result. Precious Quality, He's Ma Bro and Sonic Pirate raced wide in the home straight.

Dr. Don was slow to begin. Roma Girl was quick to begin. Creative Rhythm and Dr. Don collided approaching the first turn, checking Creative Rhythm. Roma Girl and Zelemar Zonk collided on the first turn. Dr. Don and Better Beware raced wide on the home turn. Buckle Up Jem and Dr. Don collided entering the home straight. Better Beware raced wide in the home straight.

Select Sanz, Dr. Yanma and Gardot were slow to begin. Phil's In Luck and Fleur De Rose collided soon after the start, checking Fleur De Rose. Select Sanz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right sesamoid, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Parade Steward, Miss T. Smyth, after the race was delayed by 2 minutes. MissT Smyth was reminded of her responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds be at the boxes in time for the start of the event. 

A pre race sample was taken from Sillybilly Bling.

Black Bindi was quick to begin. Sillybilly Bling and Moore Of Darcy were slow to begin. Enchanted Lass and Moore Of Darcy collided approaching the first turn, checking Moore Of Darcy. Spirited Quality and Enchanted Lass collided on the first turn, checking Enchanted Lass and Moore Of Darcy. Sillybilly Bling crossed to the outside approaching the home turn, checking Gee Callan and So Far Away. Shooters Echo and Black Bindi collided on the home turn. 

Macey Blue was vetted prior to the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found and the greyhound was passed fit to race. 

A pre race sample was taken from Cosmic Shiraz.

Come On Lassy and Dr. Phil were slow to begin. Cosmic Shiraz checked off Mystic Quality on the first turn. Come On Lassy and Macey Blue collided on the first turn, checking Come On Lassy. Wisen Up and Really Magic collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Dr. Phil and Really Magic. Wisen Up raced wide in the home straight.

Dr. Phil was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg and right side of the neck, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Really Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle and an abrasion to the left calf, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Da Mishka trialled over the 311m from box one, weight 33.1kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.97, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of  3.75 lengths. Da Mishka was Cleared.
