Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Regal Bean.
Hippy Penguin, Gervon and Kid Richard were slow to begin.
Gary Groundwork, Purely Brindle, Gisborne Shiraz and Regal Bean collided soon after the start. Purely Brindle and Gisborne Shiraz collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Hippy Penguin checked off Gary Groundwork on the first turn. Gisborne Shiraz, Regal Bean, Hippy Peguin and Gervon collided on the first turn severely checking Gervon, Purely Brindle and Kid Richard, Gervon fell as a result.
Gervon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and the right hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
