Santa Storm and Steve Allen were slow to begin.
Cosmic Black and Santa Storm collided soon after the start checking Santa Storm. Paw Licking and Cosmic Black collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Black. Santa Storm raced wide on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
Paw Licking was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder and a spike wound to the left hind. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Danni Monelli was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triceps and a spike wound to the left hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
