Stewards spoke to Mr S.Collyer, the handler of Hot Pedro regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards charged Mr Collyer with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Hot Pedro. Mr Collyer pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr Collyer was found guilty and issued a fine for $100.

Treatty was a late scratching at 11:13am due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr M.Nash, trainer of Boloney Club declared a new weight of 35.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Boloney Club last raced at 33.8kgs.

Midwinter stumbled at box rise and lost considerable ground as a result. Lektra Oscar and Boloney Club collided approaching the first turn. Don's Shy Girl, Boloney Club and Pequeno Rayo collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Pequeno Rayo, Boloney Club and Dynamo's Dove. Midwinter and Boloney Club collided approaching the home turn. Don's Shy Girl and Lektra Oscar collided in the home straight. Don's Shy Girl and Pequeno Rayo collided approaching the winning post.
