A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Cruiser upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mumbles Murray.
Oma's Girl was quick to begin. Mumbles Murray and Exit Zero collided soon after the start. Nazareth Bale and Bare Bones collided on the first turn. Oma's Girl checked off Jack's Jet approaching the home turn. Nazareth Bale and Bare Bones collided approaching the home turn. Bare Bones checked off Mr. Cruiser in the home straight. Exit Zero and Nazareth Bale collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. O. McGovern, trainer of Jack's Jet and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring that he places the greyhound in the correct box as he inadvertently attempted to place the greyhound into box 2.
Oma's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right front toe (D3). A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
