A pre-race sample was taken from Nook And Cranny.
Nook And Cranny was slow to begin. Nook And Cranny checked off Jailor Bale soon after the start. Red Cadillac, Shake 'Em Off and Two Snaps collided approaching the first turn checking Shake 'Em Off and Two Snaps. Pingu and Noakis Girl collided on the first turn checking Noakis Girl. Shake 'Em Off and Nook And Cranny collided on the first turn checking Shake 'Em Off. Two Snaps and Nook And Cranny collided on the home turn.
Shake 'Em Off was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing to its left calf. No stand down period was imposed.
