Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Still The One.
Lord Regnar was quick to begin. Still The One checked off Say Bam Boom approaching the first turn. Say Bam Boom checked off Lektra Kirky on the first turn. Still The One and Say Bam Boom collided several times approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Still The One eased in the home straight and collided with Say Bam Boom; Say Bam Boom was checked as a result.
Still The One was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right front sesamoid. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Debono. the handler of the greyhound Still The One regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Still The One with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Debono pleaded guilty to the charge. Still The One was found guilty and the greyhound was suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
