A pre-race sample was taken from Kick Like Mick.

Diamond Dancer was slow to begin. Aston Taj checked off Invictus Rapid approaching the first turn checking Oh Lele Simon and Hatchet Bale. Aston Taj checked off Oh Lele Simon on the first turn checking Isla Rose and Kick Like Mick. Aston Taj checked off Kick Like Mick approaching the home turn checking Isla Rose. Aston Taj raced wide on the home turn checking Diamond Dancer which raced wide as a result.

Aston Taj was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing to its left hind webbing and right foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
