A pre-race sample was taken from Myalla Five.
Happy Digger was slow to begin. Happy Digger checked off Wapi Sakima soon after the start. Aeroplane Jet and Wapi Sakima collided approaching the first turn checking Aeroplane Jet. Casual Response, Myalla Five and Happy Digger collided on the first turn severely checking Casual Response and Happy Digger. Wapi Sakima, Gallo Allen and Astrology collided approaching the home turn checking Gallo Allen and Wapi Sakima. Gallo Allen checked off Little Arandt entering the home straight.
Casual Response was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right calf. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Happy Digger was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Samples were taken from the first two placegetters in this event - Wapi Sakima (1st) and Astrology (2nd).
