Carlanna Jobe and Suspicious Cal were slow to begin.  Ava Crowder and Il Bacaro collided soon after the start.  Carlanna Jobe and Suspicious Cal collided approaching the first turn.  Caralanna Jobe, Suspicious Cal and Ava Crowder collided on the first turn, checking Carlanna Jobe and Suspicious Cal and severely checking Ava Crowder which stumbled as a result.  Carlanna Jobe and Suspicious Cal collided on the first turn, checking Carlanna Jobe.  Crackerjack Cam and Il Bacaro collided approaching the home turn, checking Crackerjack Cam.  God Odds Sammy and Lektra Tily collided approaching the home turn, checking Good Odds Sammy.  Beauty Sleep and Carlanna Jobe collided on the home turn, checking Beauty Sleep, Carlanna Jobe, Suspicious Cal and Crackerjack Cam.  

Ava Crowder was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr R Fisher, the handler of Lektra Tily, regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.  Stewards charged Mr Fisher with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Lektra Tily.  Mr Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge.  Mr Fisher was found guilty and fined the sum of $100.00.
