Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Perry White upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Superior Bobby was a late scratching at 11:17am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. D. Condon was fined the sum of $100.
Diamond Delight was slow to begin. Coco Marlow and Perry White collided soon after the start. Perry White checked off Johnny Boy at the 150 metre mark. Diamond Delight eased at the 100 metre mark checking Tiger Jams and Diamond Delight.
Diamond Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jack, the trainer of the greyhound Diamond Delight regarding the greyhound's racing manners at the 100 metre mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Diamond Delight with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Jack pleaded guilty to the charge. Diamond Delight was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR (A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
