Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Campbell, the trainer of Lisa Mae regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lisa Mae last raced on 9 August 2016 and is returning from a right hock injury. Mr. Campbell also declared a new weight of 30.1 in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lisa Mae last raced at 28.9.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter N. Randles did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre race sample was taken from Slick Diamond.
Miss Juddy, Lisa Mae and Slick Diamond collided approaching the first turn, checking Lisa Mae. Dusty Leads and Miss Juddy collided approaching the first turn. Dusty Leads checked off Miss Juddy on the first turn, checking Miss Dozer, Lisa Mae and Blue Marmion, Miss Dozer and Lisa Mae raced wide as a result. Rickie Metisse and Slick Diamond collided on the first turn, and several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight, checking Slick Diamond and severely checking Rickie Metisse. Miss Dozer and Lisa Mae raced wide in the home straight.
Rickie Metisse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
