Puffin' Stuff, Pink Floyd, Mini Dozer and We Have Hope were slow to begin. Golden Gun and Vanishka collided on the first turn, checking Vanishka. Golden Gun and Magic Euphoria collided approaching the home turn, checking Golden Gun and We Have Hope. Pink Floyd and Vanishka collided on the home turn. We Have Hope checked off Magic Euphoria entering the home straight. Vanishka checked off Mini Dozer in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Westerlo, the trainer of Vintage Bling regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Vintage Bling last raced on 31 July 2016 and is returning from a right hock injury.

A pre race sample was taken from Make It Happen.

Vintage Bling was quick to begin. Scarlet Scarlet and Maggie's Alone were slow to begin. Share and Phoebe Allen collided approaching the first turn, checking Share, which contacted the running rail. Zipping Lexi and Santana collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Lexi, Santana and Maggie's Alone. Phoebe Allen raced wide approaching the second turn. Zipping Lexi checked off Scarlet Scarlet approaching the second turn. Zipping Lexi and Santana collided entering the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Santana checked off Zipping Lexi approaching the third turn. Share marred Vintage Bling approaching the winning post.

Share was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Dewan, the trainer of the greyhound Share regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Share with marring. Mr. Dewan pleaded not guilty to the charge, Share was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Due to a malfunction with Fasttrack, judges were unable to save and upload the photo finish image for this event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Campbell, the trainer of Lisa Mae regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lisa Mae last raced on 9 August 2016 and is returning from a right hock injury. Mr. Campbell also declared a new weight of 30.1 in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lisa Mae last raced at 28.9.

Miss Juddy, Lisa Mae and Slick Diamond collided approaching the first turn, checking Lisa Mae. Dusty Leads and Miss Juddy collided approaching the first turn. Dusty Leads checked off Miss Juddy on the first turn, checking Miss Dozer, Lisa Mae and Blue Marmion, Miss Dozer and Lisa Mae raced wide as a result. Rickie Metisse and Slick Diamond collided on the first turn, and several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight, checking Slick Diamond and severely checking Rickie Metisse. Rickie Metisse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Wood, the trainer of Emenzie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Emenzie last raced on 21 August 2016 and is returning from a spell.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Emenzie, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Villa Jemma, Surefire and Flying Zarli were quick to begin. Citrus Kiss was slow to begin. Emenzie and Zipping Luna collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Luna and Mister Heeney collided approaching the second turn, checking Mister Heeney. Villa Jemma and Surefire collided approaching the second turn. Villa Jemma checked off Surefire on the second turn, causing Mister Heeney to galloped on the heels of Villa Jemma, severely checking both greyhounds.

Allen Punter was quick to begin. Paddles Anderson was slow to begin. Smokem Up Smokey, Canino, Coolan Boy, Sonic Pirate and Quick Step collided approaching the first turn. Canino, Coolan Boy and Quick Step collided on the first turn. Smokem Up Smokey and Why Not Mick collided on the first turn, checking Why Not Mick. Why Not Mick faltered approaching the second turn and tailed off. Smokem Up Smokey, Canino and Coola Boy collided on the second turn. Canino checked off Sonic Pirate in the back straight. 

Why Not Mick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Destini Soprano and Flying Cash were quick to begin and collided on the first turn, checking Eyes On You. Iron Anda checked off Destini Soprano on the first turn, checking Iron Anda and Destini Mermaid, and severely checking Eyes On You and Addictive Riley, Eyes On You lost considerable ground as a result. Division Four checked off Destini Soprano approaching the second turn. Division Four clipped the heels of Destini Soprano approaching the home turn. Iron Anda and Why Not Jojo collided on the home turn.

Eyes On You was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, and an abrasion to the left thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Cintiarna, One Cup Short, Destini Wildfire, Dodgy Dede and Rubrica collided on the first turn, checking One Cup Short, Destini Wildfire, Dodgy Dede and Rubrica. Dodgy Dede checked off Miss Cintiarna approaching the second turn, checking Rubrica, Destini Wildfire and One Cup Short. Destini Wildfire and Rubrica collided on the second turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Hughes, the trainer of Macey Blue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Macey Blue last raced on 11 August 2016 and is returning from a calf injury. Mr. Hughes also declared a new weight of 32.9 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Macey Blue last raced at 34.2.

Mrs. D. Dean, trainer of Roma Girl declared a new weight of 28.0 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Roma Girl last raced at 26.6.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Tweedle Dee trialled over the 311m from box eight, weight 32.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of five. The time of the trial was 18.20, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.25 lengths. Tweedle Dee was Cleared.
