Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. I Barbour, the trainer of Go Go Treetment regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Go Go Treetment last raced on 21st July, 2016 and is returning to racing after a change of kennel and a season.
Go Go Treetment was quick to begin. Shades Of Sassy, Convoy and Lucky Seed collided approaching the first turn. Borris Delight ad Convoy collided on the first turn, checking Borris Delight. Convoy checked off Go Go Treetment entering the home straight.
A sample was taken from Allen Optic - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Ms. M Shaw after the greyhound Fawn Pursuit was placed in the incorrect kennel and kennel bay during the kennelling process. Ms. Shaw was charged with a breach of GAR86(o), Ms. Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $100.00.
Stewards spoke to kennel attendants Mr. L Harris & Mr. M Coventry after the greyhound Fawn Pursuit was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Kennel attendants were issued with a severe reprimand and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager Mr. C McGrath and Chief Steward Ms. H Lester for further consideration.
