Stewards spoke to Mr. J Donaldson, the trainer of Manhattan Mandy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Manhattan Mandy last raced on 15th August, 2016 and is returning to racing after a hip injury and a subsequent spell. 

Proven Brave and Vanderville Girl were slow to begin. Goldenpaw Flyer and Front Page Lead collided soon after the start. Kimmy Cabang and Goldenpaw Flyer collided on the first turn, checking Goldenpaw Flyer and Vanderville Girl.

Tooralee was quick to begin. Kraken Tilda, Man Down and Clear Sense collided soon after the start, checking Kraken Tilda. Man Down checked off Clear Sense on the first turn. Man Down and Fiery Miss collided on the first turn, checking Man Down. Fairway Drive and Fiery Miss collided approaching the home turn. Platinum Impact and Brazen Beetroot collided approaching the home turn. Fairway Drive, Brazen Beetroot and Fiery Miss collided entering the home straight, checking all three greyhounds. Brazen Beetroot and Fiery Miss collided in the home straight. 

Platinum Impact was vetted folowing the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left fore paw, a ten day stand down period was imposed. 

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Starter D.Scott did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Mr. P. Clark, trainer of Set Point declared a new weight of 34.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Set Point last raced at 33.1kg.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Aston Prada, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Winlock Stanley was slow to begin. Set Point and Kraken Suzie collided approaching the first turn. Heleray Mootay, Winlock Stanley and Aston Prada collided on the first turn, checking Winlock Stanley, Set Point and Aston Prada, and severely checking Kraken Suzie. Winlock Stanley galloped on the heels of Aston Prada approaching the home turn. Set Point and Aston Prada collided entering the home straight and again several times in the home straight. Winlock Stanley and Kraken Suzie collided in the home straight. 

Highfield Flirt was a late scratching at 2.50pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to being on season. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Roger's In Town was quick to begin. Warringal Miss checked off Roger's In Town soon after the start. Jody Baxter galloped on the heels of Kraken Betty on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Stylish Billy and Anustar collided on the first turn, checking Anustar.

Sundance Lad was quick to begin. Kraken Manager and Bullboar were slow to begin. Kraken Manager and Mr. Leigh collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Manager and Pure Zest collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Who Told Lindylu, Mr. Leigh and Pure Zest collided in the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Sundance Lad - the winner of the event. 

Gassed Up Devil was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained suspected cramp to the right back muscle, a five day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Connell, the trainer of Gassed Up Devil and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.

Following the event Pure Zest displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result the greyhound was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound displayed clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A three day down penalty was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. I Barbour, the trainer of Go Go Treetment regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Go Go Treetment last raced on 21st July, 2016 and is returning to racing after a change of kennel and a season. 

Go Go Treetment was quick to begin. Shades Of Sassy, Convoy and Lucky Seed collided approaching the first turn. Borris Delight ad Convoy collided on the first turn, checking Borris Delight. Convoy checked off Go Go Treetment entering the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Allen Optic - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. M Shaw after the greyhound Fawn Pursuit was placed in the incorrect kennel and kennel bay during the kennelling process. Ms. Shaw was charged with a breach of GAR86(o), Ms. Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $100.00. 

Stewards spoke to kennel attendants Mr. L Harris & Mr. M Coventry after the greyhound Fawn Pursuit was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Kennel attendants were issued with a severe reprimand and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager Mr. C McGrath and Chief Steward Ms. H Lester for further consideration. 

Before My Time was quick to begin. Heartbreak Hermy, Tat Jocko and Bert's Special collided approaching the first turn. Bert's Special checked off Mazing Moo approaching the first turn. Bert's Special and Happy Tails collided on the first turn. Mazing Moo and Heartbreak Hermy collided on the first turn. Tat Jocko contacted the running rail on the home turn. Before My Time and Busted Flat collided in the home straight. 

Ima Lonely Boy was quick to begin. Collect and Supervisor were slow to begin. Tuffy Bale and Blue Westmead collided approaching the first turn. Supervisor checked off Blue Westmead on the first turn. Tuffy Bale and Ima Lonely Boy collided on the first turn. Collect and Ima Lonely Boy collided approaching the home turn. Ima Lonely Boy and Supervisor collided entering the home straight. 

Bryden Dora was slow to begin. Buckle In and Rusty Boy collided soon after the start. Soxy, Perisian Magic and Brandeen Bayley collided soon after the start, checking Parisian Magic. Buckle In and Soxy collided approaching the first turn. I've Got Bills contacted the running rail in the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Gold Compass - the winner of the event. 

Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the greyhound I've Got Bills leaving the course without the permission of the stewards. 

Heartbreak Hotel was slow to begin. Ray Donovan checked off Mexican Rush soon after the start. My Name's Red and Bacardi Breezer collided soon after the start. Precipitate and Spring Jester collided approaching the first turn. Mexican Rush, Ace Gone Wild and Bacardi Breezer collided on the first turn, checking Ace Gone Wild, My Names Red and Bacardi Breezer. Mexican Rush checked off Spring Jester approaching the home turn. Bacardi Breezer checked off Precipitate entering the home straight. Ray Donovan and My Names Red collided in the home straight. Precipitate, Ray Donovan and My Name's Red collided approaching the winning post.

Atta Flash was quick to begin. Minca Man and Helen Baxter were slow to begin. Jaimandy Maureen and Ourboy Fab collided soon after the start. Helen Baxter and Jaimandy Maureen collided approaching the first turn. Atta Flash and Onya Anna collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Onya Anna tailed off as a result. Jaimandy Maureen and Onya Anna collided approaching the home turn. Suffragette and Ourboy Fab collided in the home straight. 

Onya Anna was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a twenty-eight day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. P Macklin, the trainer of Paula's Delight regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Paula's Delight last raced on 11th August, 2016 and is returning to racing after a right hind toe injury and a subsequent season. 

Wayco Magic and Idle Rocket were slow to begin. Are You and Idle Rocket collided on the first turn. Call Me Boz and She's Lil collided entering the home straight.

Track Curator Mr. M Coventry advised stewards that the track was medium harrowed on 23.11.16

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. J Donaldson, the trainer of El Ay Lucy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. El Ay Lucy last raced on 16th May, 2016. Mr. Donaldson stated that the greyhound was returning after a right hock injury and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, El Ay Lucy trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 26.7kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 22.45, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5 lengths. El Ay Lucy was cleared.
