A pre-race sample was taken from Barking Bad upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Pechey was quick to begin. Barking Bad, Fast Azz El and Eddie Eagle were slow to begin.
Quantum Bale and Allen Portland collided approaching the first turn checking Barking Bad and Fast Azz El. Don't Kid Me and One For Me collided on the first turn. Eddie Eagle checked off Fast Ezz El approaching the second turn. Allen Portland contacted the running rail on the second turn and lost ground. Quantum Bale and Barking Bad collided on the second turn checking Quantum Bale. Barking Bad and Fast Azz El collided on the third turn checking Fast Azz El.
